Comprehensive Company Policy (Best Practices) February 10, Introduction The company best policies ensure order and synergy among departments. The paper focuses on the best practices. The paper delves on the benefits of the best practices on long term company sustainability. The best practices policy enhances achievement of organization goals and objectives. a. Sanitation The company must set a seminar to discuss the sanitation polices of the global company, including penalties for violations of such policies. First, all food processing employees in all countries should wash their hands before entering the food processing facilities. The same employees must wear a clean factory gown within the food processing facilities. A housekeeping staff will ensure the comfort rooms are clean and sanitized (Cramer, 2013). b. Drinking and Eating There are several recommended global eating and drinking policies (Singh, 2010). A similar seminar will be introduced to the employees to explain the company’s compulsory eating and drinking policies. The employees should only eat or drink during snack times and lunch break. Eating and drinking should only be done within the canteen or other designated food areas. All employees shall through all food wastes into the allocated food waste bins. c. Conflict Resolution There are several recommended global conflict resolution proposals (Machado, 2013). A different seminar will discuss to the employees the importance of conflict resolution. Each employee is given a copy of the company’s policy guidelines. A mediation committee will settle employment conflicts. All complaints shall be settled within one week of from filing of the complaint.. d. Teams (In-house) There are several recommended global in-house team proposals. The employees shall comply with the company’s supervisor-lea prescribed in-house team policies (Blais, 2011). The policies include a once a compulsory month two-hour meeting. The meeting will focus on ensuring everyone in the team contributes their share to the accomplishment of the team goals. e. Team (Online) There are several recommended global online team proposals. The company’s online website will be managed on a 24 hour basis. Two individuals will be assigned for each 8 hour shift. The assigned shift employees will reply to each online caller’s chat communication (Management Association, 2010). f. Security The company shall conduct a global security seminar among the employees. The seminar will inform the employees the importance of securing the company premises (IFPO, 2007). Securing includes ensuring theft of company property is eliminated. Theft may include both employee theft and non-employee theft. Security guards will not allow unauthorized employees into the company premises. Further, other security measures should be in place (IFPO, 2007). The guards will inspect all persons entering the company premises in order to prevent entry of guns, knives, and other deadly weapons. All exiting employees will be checked to detect employee theft. All departing employees must turn over the company door keys to the company’s guard for safekeeping. All doors must be locked to prevent entry of intruders. A CCTV camera is placed along passageways to spot and catch unauthorized individuals and record persons entering and leaving company premises. g. Evacuation Procedures (Emergency) A global seminar will be conducted to explain how to act when disasters strike. The disaster preparedness team will be formed to ensure the safety of all employees and company assets during a disaster (Crow, 2014). Disaster includes earthquakes, hurricanes, fires, threats of possible bomb explosions, and other life-threatening and property-endangering issues. The disaster team will discuss the escape routes and detailed escape procedures during each emergency situation. The disaster team will include a medical team. Further, other emergency measures will be implemented (Crow, 2014). The employees must help ensure the injuries, deaths, and property damage is reduced during each unexpected disaster. The disaster team will ensure there is coordination with the different departments. Upon seeing a fire or other disaster, the concerned employee must push the fire alarm button. The roof sprinklers will automatically cover the room with water when the smoke sensors feel smoke rising up to the room ceilings. When a disaster strikes, each employee is previously trained to go to the assigned exit doors. 3. Key Benefits of the Above Policies The company’s global sanitary policies generate benefits (Kerzner, 2014). A clean comfort room and other similar facilities will prevent the spread of health-endangering germs or bacteria. With clean and sanitary food processing facilities and comfort rooms, the food ingredients are not contaminated. Sanitation reduces the number of employees succumbing to preventable illnesses. Unsanitary facilities carry illness carrying viruses or bacteria-bearing illnesses. Further, the company’s global drinking as well as eating policies generate benefits (Kerzner, 2014). Avoiding bring food to the work desks will prevent spilling of drinks and food on the computers, and other company equipments. Consequently, spilling liquids and food may damage the computers or other company equipments. An employee may accidentally step on a banana peel thrown on the food process floor. Consequently, the tripped employee may injure oneself or/and damage nearby company properties. Furthermore, the company’s global conflict resolution policies generate benefits (Blais, 2011). The company policies or guidelines help the employees resolve work issues. The mediation guidelines reduce conflicts within the company. The mediation proceedings allow the mediation committee to resolve misunderstandings among the aggrieved employees and management officers. Moreover, the company’s global in-house teams policy generates benefits (Kerzner, 2014). The employees will know how to act within a team environment. The team will better achieve its goals compared to individual actions. The members will learn to be responsible for their individual actions. In terms of achieving organization goals, the team leaders will better maximize the capabilities of each team member. Further, the company’s global online team policies generate benefits. The company will generate higher revenues. The company’s online websites allow current and future customers to purchase the company’s food products. The online website will help appease the complaining customer’s middle of the night complaints. The same website will answer the queries of the busy customer from another faraway state (ManagementAssociation, 2010). Furthermore, the company’s global security policies generate benefits (IFPO, 2007). The company will be able to prevent theft of company properties. Unauthorized persons are prevented from entering the company premises. Preventing intruders from entering, danger on the lives of the employees is prevented. Moreover, the same company’s global emergency evacuation procedures generate benefits (Crow, 2014). The employees know when and where to go during earthquakes, fires, hurricanes and other disasters. There are fewer lives lost from disasters. Less injuries crop up from coordinated escape of employees. 3. Major Ramification of noncompliance There are major ramifications will arise from global non-implementation of the above policies (Khosrowpour, 2011). Unsanitary comfort rooms and other facilities will increase the number of sick employees. Consequently, more employees will file for sick leave, reducing company sales and services. Eating and drinking outside allocated hours and designated places may cause damage to company property and reduce work outputs. Non-implementation of conflict resolution policies will increase employee’s filing labor disputes in the courts of law, damaging the company’s public image. Working in a non-team environment slows down department output. Absence of online team policies may drive away potential current and future online customers. Lackluster security policies will increase theft of company property and endanger the employees’ lives. 4. Significant Ways the Best Practices contribute to company’s sustainability, on a long term basis. There are significant ways the prescribed global best practices policy will contribute to the company’s long-term sustainability by enhancing revenue generation and asset management. Sanitary premises contribute to healthy food products, increasing company revenues. People prefer healthy food products. Eating and drinking within prescribed policies will increase workout, increasing revenues. In addition, other global policies will enhance the company’s sustainability on a long term basis. Conflict resolution reduces employee turnover, preventing revenue reductions. Team policies create synergy among the team members, increasing revenues. Finally, the online team will accept customer purchases, increasing overall revenues. Security policies prevent loss of valuable company property and prevent danger on the employees’ and management officers’ lives, preventing revenue reduction. The theft or damage to food production equipments may lead to service quality reduction and revenue reduction. 5. The above best practices The company’s above global best practices provide significant competitive advantage over globally competing companies (Khosrowpour, 2011). A clean company premises creates a favorable company public image. The eating and drinking policy maximize work outputs. The team policy creates favorable group synergy. Online team captures additional revenues from faraway and nighttime clients. Security policies prevent lost of company properties needed to generate benchmarked revenues. Conflict resolution ensures employee turnover is reduced to allowable levels. For example, McDonald’s has an online team global website. The team is composed of online employees several McDonald’s branches. Each branch awaits orders from the global current and future online customers. The online site allows the online customers to pick the nearest McDonald’s branch for their next home delivery hamburger order. Conclusion Based on the above, the global company policies guarantee both order and synergy among the different organization divisions. The best global practices enhance cooperation and understanding among the employees and management officers. Seminars in different countries will explain to the employees the benefits of complying with the prescribed global best practice policies. Evidently, the above chosen global best practices policies significantly boosts the attainment of overall organization goals and objectives, especially increasing and sustaining long term revenues and profits.
