I hold a degree in Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and currently, I am a Registered Nurse with more than 2 years of experience. In addition, I have done some work as a preceptor or a trainer of new Registered Nurses, which equipped me with practical experience in this field. My role as a preceptor included demonstrating nursing actions to learners, role modeling professional dealings on the care unit, as well as providing them with timely and suitable feedback. I was also responsible for providing learners with an environment that is conducive to learning and in determining suitable patient care assignments for them.

I also communicated with the faculty regarding the ongoing evaluation of learners’ progress as well as the overall experience itself. Moreover, I was responsible for validating learners’ completion of patient care endeavors, as well as their ability to meet the expectations of the course. With the exception of igniting my passion further, these have immensely equipped me with invaluable fundamental knowledge in addition to giving me hands on experiences and expertise in the clinical area as well as in the patient population.

I have no doubt that this will be of great help upon my enrolment into this program. I chose George Mason University because I have confidence in what it offers as an institution of international academic standing, which provides learners with superior education that enable them to build up an imaginative, analytical, and critical thinking and to make rational ethical decisions. The university also equips learners with skills to tackle complex social issues and to discover meaning in their lives.

Moreover, the university encourages diversity within its student body and meets their needs by providing them with innovative and interdisciplinary professional courses. Its faculty is also diverse, excellent in teaching, innovative, active in pure and applied research, as well as receptive to students’ needs in addition to those of the community. I aspire to study in a challenging yet supportive environment that will enable me to develop my full potential, and I have no misgivings that George Mason University will provide me with these.

I would also like to benefit from the opulent professional education materials that the University’s library offers. Most importantly, I believe that the university will offer me with the best global network that I require to grow in my profession – I look forward to setting up global partnerships where I can actively facilitate the support of people who are desperate for Family Nurse Practitioners. My interests include the promotion of healthier lives and the provision of superior and complete healthcare for the families – I aspire to develop skills in the provision of direct health care, health-maintenance promotion tools and information, as well as health assessments to the whole family.

I also look forward to develop my ability to approach patient care broadly in the context of the sociocultural, physical, mental, and emotional systems of the family. Other areas of interests include the promotion of physical health in the community by disseminating messages on the same in the mass media. Expertise in these areas would be an invaluable contribution to the society as a whole – it would bring awareness and insight by clearing stresses and pain in
